We're Back!

Well, we're officially back on our own again. Surprisingly it was a bitter-sweet move. We really enjoyed our time living with my parents-Lydie especially. She really misses them. By about 3:00 p.m. each day she starts to get really bored of just me. She starts to look around for someone else to play with. This is about the time each day that Grandma would take her for a walk or outside to watch the puppy. Or grandpa would play the piano with her or let her turn the lights on and off 700 times.

I miss it too! I never realized how long the days are when I am here without adult companionship. We were really spoiled having so many people around. Luckily we still live close enough to Grandma & Grandpa that we can go see them a couple times a week.

On the other hand, we are loving having our own place and doing our own thing. For the first time in her life, Lydie has her own room. She has now moved from the pack n' play into a real crib.

She goes to bed at 7:00 and we feel like we're on vacation. We have the whole evening to ourselves. We don't have to sneak in to our bedroom at bedtime, lightly pull the covers back and slowly ease into the bed. We don't even have to whisper! Having our own room is awesome We can even watch movies in bed on a real screen, not just the 1.5 inch ipod screen that we've been using.

The other best part about our new place is that it is kid proof. I can just let Lydie roam (of course I have to close the bathroom door, I learned that really quick). She is so much happier not being chased all day and I love not worrying about what she's ruining.

She loves to play with the remote every chance she gets. She picks it up and puts it to her ear and says, "Hi!" She made a great discovery for us yesterday. When we moved in and finally got the cable set up we had the strangest set of channels. We had all the basics, but just a bunch of random things. I was totally bummed when we didn't have TLC, and Josh was beside himself because we didn't have the MTN. Yesterday Lydie started pushing buttons on the remote, she pushed 44 and YAY- What Not to Wear came on---TLC!!! Turns out we just needed to reprogram the TV to pick up ALL channels.

AND we do have the MTN, so this is an open invitation to any of you who want to watch BYU Football games this Fall. We would love to have you over. It will be a big party every Saturday. You guys can watch the game and us girls will hang out.

It's good to be blogging again.

What a beautiful little girl you have! Congrats on your new place, we get TLC, but unfortunately "The Mountain" doesn't seem to make its way to Connecticut! Love the pictures :)
